1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Dollars & Pence ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

2. What Dollars & Pence is

Dollars & Pence is a personal finance tracking tool. It is designed for personal, non-commercial use to help you organise your own financial information. It is not:

• A regulated financial service
• A provider of financial, investment, or tax advice
• A payment service or e-money institution
• Connected to any bank or financial institution

3. No financial advice

4. Subscriptions

The App is free to download and use. Some features require an optional Premium subscription, available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing in-app purchase processed by Apple via the App Store.

• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Pricing. Current prices are shown in the App Store at the time of purchase, in your local currency.
• Cancellation. You can cancel any time in your Apple ID settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current period.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.
• Free trials (if offered) automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Subscriptions are governed by the App Store EULA in addition to these Terms.

5. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of all data you enter into the App
• Keeping your device and Apple ID secure
• Maintaining backups of your data (via iCloud sync or export)
• Verifying all calculations and projections independently
• Complying with all applicable laws

6. Prohibited uses

You may not use the App for:

• Commercial financial management on behalf of others
• Any unlawful purpose
• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
• Creating fraudulent or misleading financial records
• Bypassing or interfering with the App's subscription or licensing mechanisms

7. Privacy and data

The App stores your data on your device and, optionally, in your private iCloud container. We collect no personal data and operate no servers. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Calculations or projections will be accurate
• iCloud sync will be free of delays or conflicts
• The App will meet your specific requirements

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dollars & Pence and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to financial losses, data loss, or decisions made based on App calculations.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App and any subscriptions in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual property

The App and all its content are protected by copyright. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the App on your Apple devices. Your data remains your own property.

11. Changes to the App and terms

We may update these Terms or the App at any time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through app updates.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
